King Communications & Security were delighted to secure the contract to provide a range of fire, security and building services to the £2.8m refurbishment project at St John’s Primary in Port Glasgow as a part of Inverclyde Council's programme of school investments. The school required multiple core building system solutions to support and protect both the primary and nursery staff and pupils in their day to day activities.
King Communications & Security provided a range of integrated solutions to St John's Primary which now plays a key role in the protection and facility services provided to its staff and pupils. St John's required solutions in IP CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry to assist staff in their day to day duty of care to both primary and nursery children. Additionally, IP TV, Master Clocks and Voice Communications Systems where needed to enhance the flow of information around the school as well as provide a means of emergency site wide communications in the event of an incident.
St John’s Primary is Catholic School with deep roots in the community through its link to the local parish. The school currently deliver the Scottish Educational Establishments Curriculum for Excellence to pupils from early level right through to senior phase. St John’s focuses on encouraging collaboration and partnership from a child’s home, community, school and parish and is highly regarded within its community.
The site at St John’s features a traditional and contemporary primary school building fusion with a nursery facility accessible to the rear. King Communications & Security have successfully provided the school with multiple Axis Communications IP CCTV Security Cameras which connect to Milestone’s X Protect platform. Additionally, as BAFE certified provider in the design and installation of quality fire systems, KCS utilised Notifer By Honeywell EVCS systems, Apollo Break points and an MX Pro control panel to deliver a reliable fire system solution that would support the sensitive needs of a primary school environment.
