Nurse Call Systems

Heriot-Watt University and the British Geological Survey wanted to create a European Leading Research Centre where newly deployed systems would be required to cope with a wide range of environmental and operational demands.

As part of an updated security strategy, Leverndale Hospital looked to install a future-proof solution for their Nurse Call and Staff Attack systems. Working with King Communications & Security's expertise, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde wanted to develop an advanced security system at the site that would improve cross-site accessibility and provide a safer working environment for staff members. Offering a greater degree of reassurance for employees working late hours was of primary importance to the project, however, devices were to remain discreet for the comfort of patients within the mental health facility.

King Communications & Security were delighted to secure the contract to provide a range of fire, security and building services to the £2.8m refurbishment project at St John’s Primary in Port Glasgow as a part of Inverclyde Council's programme of school investments. The school required multiple core building system solutions to support and protect both the primary and nursery staff and pupils in their day to day activities.

The Lighthouse has operated as a charitable trust since 2009 and, as a result, put budget constraints on the required work. Subsequently, The Lighthouse were striving for a ‘future-proof’ solution.

Gartnavel Hospital seeks Nurse Call and Staff Safety systems for The Kershaw Unit. They require the building’s systems to be linked to the neighbouring hospital units for maximum staff security and convenience for inter-unit operations, and require this system to be installed with minimal disruption.

Taking its responsibility for students learning experience very seriously, St Andrew’s University School of Medicine wanted to enhance the current experience in order to help students get the most out of their 3 years on campus. They wanted a solution that could allow students to video and present their communicational and clinical skills. The University were also looking for a solution that was scalable so that additional cameras and functions could be added in years to come.

Taking its duty of care towards students and staff very seriously, Heriot-Watt University wanted to explore how state of the art CCTV systems, Salto Access Control, Fire Safety Systems and Disabled Toilet Alarms would contribute to a safe environment. The University also had an eye on the future and looked for a scalable solution that would be a sound investment for years to come.

The University were looking to secure a CCTV solution which interlinked both Paisley and Ayr campuses and gave high quality, high clarity pictures to the security control room.

The William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre was a brand new building in need of all standard security measures. Although Quarriers operates like a hospital, they were also striving for patients to feel comfortable in a hotel atmosphere. Additionally, the Conference Centre building was in need of state of the art equipment.
